FORT MYERS BEACH, FL (August 20, 2015)--  The Guardian ad Litem Foundation- 20th Judicial Circuit and The Fort Myers Beach Chamber of Commerce invite you to join the invasion and attend the Inaugural Fort Myers Beach Pirate Ball for a night of pirate festivities and fundraising.

Join us on October 3, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to midnight, for an evening of swashbuckling entertainment, auctions, contests, games and grub. A portion of the Pirate Ball’s proceeds will benefit The Guardian ad Litem Foundation - 20th Judicial Circuit, The Greater Fort Myers Beach Friends of the Arts, The Bay Oaks Recreation Center, and Ostego Bay Foundation Marine Science Center.

This event serves as the official kick-off event for the Salty Sam's 10th Annual Pirate Festival on Fort Myers Beach(Oct. 9-11), which was ranked in 2014 as the #2 Pirate Festival in the Nation by USA Today Travel.  Visit fmbpiratefest.com for more info.

Bootleggers Waterfront BBQ will host costumed privateers and landlubbers looking to partake in pirate games of chance to win great prizes, a costume contest, silent auction, an all “All U Can Eat” BBQ buffet and live music by The Ricky Howard Blues Band, with special guest Jo List. Continue the party at the on-site DJ after party, where you’re sure to let the Jolly Rodger fly!

Tickets for admission are available on the event website, fortmyersbeach.org/ball/ (http://). Full evening tickets are $75 and include a BBQ dinner, and concert only tickets are $40. In light of the recent Estero Blvd. construction, attendees are encouraged to arrive via boat.  From the Gulf of Mexico, enter the intracoastal waterway at the north end of Fort Myers Beach, go under the Matanzas Bridge, stay to the left, and the Bootleggers Waterfront Barbeque is at channel marker 24. Boaters can hail the dockmaster at Salty Sam’s on channel 16 or 17 for docking instructions.
