DETROIT - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Trayvon Martin's unfortunate encounter with George Zimmerma spawned an epic wave of news coverage that detailed numerous accounts of blood, guilt, and honor as the United States attempted to wrapped their nation's hands around the issue of police brutality and racism.

George Zimmerman, in his glory, objectified policework and believed himself to be a representative of the corrupt law officers when he accousted Trayvon Martin and ended his life. This film takes a turn as it descends into the minds of people who are cast into the stereotype that travels along with anyone who wears a hoodie.

The young man who plays Trayvon Martin in this short film, Kahlil Jibran Lock, had a similar incident in grade school where he was accused of a violent act and was severely punished for a crime he didn't commit. Along with his passion to redeem Trayvon Martin's character, Kahlil shares his birthday and his passion for justice by way of acting out as Trayvon's soul.

The story has twists and turns that could not be conceptualized although the pain and passion is real and anticipated. Shot late night at neighborhood gas stations and streets lined with abandoned homes in Detroit, all actors are local and felt the bittersweet irony of shooting a story about violence in a city with one of the worst reputations for street violence.

Without a hint of the storyline, audience members will be secretly surprised at the plot that takes you on an emotional rollercoaster in the beginning of your journey. The tables are turned but, without a trace of reverse racism. No one can argue about who is guilty when the "hoodie" is the villain.
