Earlier this month, Melbourne product designer Tom Farrah won a gold medal at the Sydney design awards while simultaneously launching a new men’s concept store in Greville Street Prahran.

NORTH MELBOURNE, Australia - Aug. 19, 2015 - PRLog -- Farrah - Life Equipment has joined The Field Equipment Company, Unique and Vintage Eyewear and Fortis Green Apparel to create the ultimate go-to store for men. From luxury dress socks to leather wallets, designer vintage sunglasses to a flat pack field kitchen, 109 Greville will showcase everything the discerning (and typically difficult to buy for) Melbourne man could want.

Without exception, every one of the Melbourne based brands involved in the109 Greville retail space is an expert in their field with a shared focus on offering customers unmatchable products in terms of design, materials and construction.

States Tom Farrah

“Although our products are very different, our perspectives regarding quality and design are strikingly similar. It just made sense to bring together these specific brands under one roof so that we could offer a truly diverse and broad range of products for every facet of male life. These guys are on their A-game in the way that they approach their work and their drive to get the best product out there into the market. That really resonates with me.”

Australian wine producer Seppelts will continue their support of local designers by sponsoring the 109 Greville launch event 6pm-8 on Thursday the 27th of August.

109 Greville is now open seven days a week from 10am-6pm Mon-Fri and 10am-5pm Sat-Sun. The store can be found at 109 Greville Street, Prahran.

Fortis Green Apparel

There’s more to the creation of a luxury dress sock than the general wearer could imagine, but Fortis Green founder Ray Willmoth spent almost a decade in London working in the men’s accessories business. With an almost fanatical obsession with perfecting “the ultimate sock” he has spent over a year designing, sampling and testing before recently launching his first collection.

Using his international manufacturing connections and vast industry experience, Willmoth has considered every aspect that goes into making a pair of socks, before honing every detail of design, material and construction to create some of the finest men’s socks on the market.
