Live traffic in car: GPS devices on license plates

Shows real time map with trains & vehicles. Gates open automatically. Traffic lights create less jams

CHESTERFIELD, Va. - Aug. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Tallinn, Estonia – On July 17 2015, Rando Hutt launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds to create a number of GPS devices for license plates and cars resulting in a real time map that effectively monitors traffic.

“With attachable devices to number plates it is possible to create a digital traffic surveillance system, which would make traffic safer. It would be a GPS type of solution, which allows for existing resources to be of a more rational use,” the creator explains, “Imagine that you crash and do not know where you are located. You call 911 and you’ll be replied that help is already on the way. Navigation system users can then free the road for emergency vehicles early on.”

Rando Hutt learned Oracle database management and creation of ERD. Therefore, he has been dealing with web servers and is familiar with Linux and Windows operating systems. The creator has also worked in transport and logistics for 5 years, thanks to passing CE category and ADR courses.

This new solution would have widespread uses; the Internal Revenue Service could monitor usage of company cars without requiring a logbook. Barriers can open with the device on your license plate. Parking fees get debited automatically from your bank account. Traffic lights know in advance about your arrival, you are informed about roadwork and temporary traffic signs before reaching to them. The device also suggests when is safe to pass by other vehicles.

“The money raised will be used for digital sensors for number plates, navigation devices in vehicles, servers and the creation of a web solution. The potential customer base could be government, drivers, insurance, freight-, transport- and logistics companies,” says Hutt, “Such a system could save mileage in real time, lose blind spots in mirrors and eliminate car thefts. Heading home from work would be about as simple as a glance to the digital map to find out where there are no traffic jams.”

In exchange for pledging to the project, backers can gain access to a variety of rewards including a project sticker for €5, a project pen for €15, or a project keyring for €25.
