LOS ANGELES - Aug. 25, 2015 - PRLog -- Chuck Cymone's "Do What U Do" is a television talent showcase series where unsigned, independent artists are given a major opportunity to break and promote their original music in front of a live, television audience, earning both national and international exposure (network and airtime to be announced).

The show will feature celebrity co-guest hosts and independent recording artists domestically and internationally.  No cover songs are allowed on the show. There are no judges, coaches, or underlying pressures for artists to compete. With live entertainment in a concert atmosphere, viewers are rewarded with strong dancers reminiscent of the show’s predecessors Soul Train and American Bandstand and the artistic atmosphere of Prince’s 1984 film, “Purple Rain”.

The show is slated to be a consistent feeding stream for record companies seeking new talent and an outlet for new music lovers around the world.

“Everyone has a story.” stated the show’s Founder Chuck Cymone. “There are so many talented and deserving independent artists that need to have their stories heard. We exist so that can happen.”

Artists on the show can be male or female soloists, duos, groups or bands that offer original music in all genres: Pop, R&B, Rock, Latin, Hip-Hop, Alternative, Blues, Reggae, High Energy, House, Country, Gospel and many more.

A total of 76 artists will be chosen to be a part of the show each season.

With little or no solid outlet for independent artists to break their original music, many remain undiscovered or unheard. Every artist on the show will have a fair opportunity to showcase their talents, without the demands of cover song comparisons, votes, or popularity scores/ratings.

The show’s executives, however, are only seeking the absolute best talent possible to perform on their stages.

“Since we accept all genres of music, we love talented artists who are unique, with great music, a great sound and a great presence, overall.” Said Brittney Devereaux, Talent Scout/Project Coordinator. "We definitely want those with the "it" factor."

Following the successes of web-launched artists such as Tori Kelly, Jack & Jack and Justin Bieber, artists from all over the world will have a chance to submit their live performances, whether on stage, or from home, using their keyboards, guitars, or complete band set-ups.

“True talent speaks for itself, no matter which way it is presented.” stated Jermaine Jackson.

The show is currently recruiting both male and female solo and group talent in all music genres, nationally and internationally. A $10 submission fee is required before submitting materials, which covers administrative fees.

The fee is per act, not per person. (A group of 5 is considered one act; only $10 total.) Absolutely no cover songs will be accepted; original music only.  All artists/songs aired on the show will require a license agreement. Each artist on the show will have access to the show’s online database pertaining to his/her performance royalties.
