Ultimate Excursions Makes a Donation to the Bedford Police Department

BEDFORD, Texas - Aug. 18, 2015 - PRLog -- Ultimate Excursions offers its support, as much as possible, to area groups and charities deserving of support including community services and organizations. This year, Ultimate Excursions, is proud to be able to show their support of the local community, once again, by donating to the Bedford Police Department.

Ultimate Excursions is always pleased to be able to give back to those who need and deserve it most and nowhere is this more rewarding than in their own local community.

A group of men and women who risk their safety and even their lives each and every day to protect the citizens of Bedford, the Bedford Police Department is dedicated to protecting every individual, both young and old, with strength and compassion. In order to do so, the Bedford Police Department has grown much since the city was first founded and today, the department includes 81 police officers, almost 60 civilian personnel in support positions and strong volunteer base to protect and serve the community's needs.

In addition to their traditional city services, the Bedford Police Department also offers numerous programs and educational opportunities within the community as well including school programs that help educate the city's youth and a free Citizens Police Academy (CPA). The CPA program is designed to help citizens and business owners to better understand how the department works. Other programs such as the Repeat Victimization Unit, help to address issues within the community that are a problem and those who have been victims of a crime.

It is for all these reasons and more that Ultimate Excursions chose to show their support in the form of a donation to the Bedford Police Department, this year.
