BARDSTOWN, Ky. - Aug. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- The Kentucky Bourbon Festival kicks off its six-day  celebration of everything bourbon with a brand new signature event: The Loft is a VIP experience in a penthouse retreat with private bar, premium spirits and panoramic views of the action unfolding on Bardstown’s Great Lawn. This exclusive package joins such fan favorites as Kentucky Bourbon All-Star Sampler™, a rare evening featuring all the Master Distillers under one roof; Boots and Bourbon™, with live music and a chance to ride the Buffalo; and the Great Kentucky Bourbon Tasting & Gala™, a black tie event and bourbon lover’s dream – as the Bourbon Capital of the World celebrates America’s only native spirit. Visit www.KyBourbonFestival.com for details.

Spirits and swag

In addition to enjoying the privacy and comfort of The Loft at Spalding Hall, guests who purchase tickets to this experience, offered Wednesday through Sunday, will enjoy fine Kentucky cuisine and a chance to meet with Master Distillers and other dignitaries of bourbon in an intimate setting. Additionally, each ticket holder will receive a one-of-a-kind swag bag. NOTE: Extremely limited availability; purchase tickets right away.

Other popular events include Kentucky Bourbon Shots™ with photos displayed at the Bardstown Welcome Center; a Half Pint of Whiskey History with a Shot of Humor, a meander through the history of Kentucky bourbon making – legal or otherwise – with historian and author Dixie Hibbs; and Any Way She Likes It, an hors d’oeuvres and bourbon pairing event hosted by former Master Bourbon Taster Peggy Noe Stevens at My Old Kentucky Dinner Train Depot.

During the Kentucky Bourbon Festival, don’t miss the chance to tour Kentucky’s legendary bourbon distilleries; visit the Oscar Getz Museum of Whiskey History; take the Bourbon Clues Scavenger Hunt; board the horse-drawn trolley for a Backstreets of Bardstown Historical Tour; or join Certified Ghost Hunter Patti Starr in search of the Ghostly Spirits of Bardstown on a ghost hunt along the shadowy streets of Bardstown.
