Dan “Grizzly Adams” Haggerty Joins “40 NIGHTS” Biblical Film

LANSING, Mich. - Aug. 17, 2015 - PRLog -- In 1975 Dan Haggerty was known the world over for his rugged, bearded look and his kind voice from the hit TV series “The Life and Times of Grizzly Adams” released by Sunn Classic Pictures.  Dan Haggerty has a relationship with Michigan-based motion picture company Collective Development. International actor/producer and CEO, DJ Perry, hired Dan Haggerty to co-star in their “based on a true story” crime drama “An Ordinary Killer” released in 2002. Fast -forward a few years where DJ Perry is co-starring and producing on the biblical drama “Book of Ruth, Journey of Faith”.   Once again Dan Haggerty was brought on board to play a wonderful role opposite Hollywood royalty, Lana Wood.

This year Collective Development Inc. (www.cdiproductions.com) entered into a three-picture deal with Lightworx Entertainment to deliver three biblical features.  Lightworx Entertainment is led by Randy Maricle who spearheaded the marketing on “God’s Not Dead” during his time as the vice president of marketing and operations at Pureflix Entertainment.

The 1^st film on the new slate is entitled “40 Nights,” and follows Jesus, played by DJ Perry, from baptism and throughout his trek into the desert for 40 Nights.  There he is confronted by the Devil and must make peace with himself on what is to become.

One of the biggest casting decisions faced by production was who will be GOD, the fatherly creator who sets our entire story in motion. Many people were considered for the coveted role including the recently deceased icon Leonard Nimoy.  But the honor has gone to Dan Haggerty and the producers are beyond thrilled.
