This session will help participants have a better understanding of Autism Spectrum Disorder and be able to devise ways by which they can help college students on the Autism Spectrum achieve success.

College life can be overwhelming for the student on the autism spectrum who struggles with sensory sensitivities and communication and interpersonal deficits. Parents and fellow students will be ill-equipped to handle challenges relating to students with ASD if they don’t have a thorough understanding of the condition. Dr. Peggy Mitchell Clarke is a clinical psychologist, mental health consultant, and retired psychology professor.
