Steve Ford to share stories from White House and Hollywood to support homeless women and children

SAINT PAUL, Minn. - Aug. 14, 2015 - PRLog -- ST. PAUL– On September 17, 2015, Steve Ford (actor and son of President Gerald Ford and Betty Ford) will join with emcee Jearlyn Steele to lend their voices and personal stories of overcoming adversity to a captivated audience at this year’s Voices for Victory gala to raise funds for Emma Norton Services.

As a motivational speaker, Steve Ford has entertained and inspired audiences with anecdotes of how his famous family dealt with his mother's battles with alcoholism and breast cancer and how he overcame his own struggles with the bottle. He talks about the high price he paid for bad choices involving drugs and alcohol, the early habits he formed that led to his addiction, and his road to recovery. He will share many historic and never-before-seen photos, slides, and videos.

All proceeds benefit Emma Norton Services, an organization that provides housing and support to women and families struggling with mental illness and chemical dependency.

More information can be found at emmanorton.org or by calling (651) 251-2632.
