Follow on Google News | Gunther International Announces Quarter End Financial ResultsNORWICH, CONNECTICUT - August 14, 2015 - Gunther International Ltd. (OTC Pink Sheets: SORT.PK), today announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2015.
Total sales for the quarter ended June 30, 2015, were $7.36 million, compared to total sales of $6.19 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2014. The $1.17 million increase primarily resulted from increase in sale of Systems of $1.61 million, partially offset by decrease in sales of maintenance of $0.30 million and Supplies of $0.14 million Net income was $253 thousand, or $0.01 per share, for the quarter compared to a net income of $75 thousand, or $0.00 per share, reported last year. Marc Perkins, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company stated, “Our results reflected improvement after being negatively impacted by a reduction in spending on capital equipment such as our high-speed, intelligent mailing systems”. At June 30, 2015, the Company had a systems order backlog of $1.26 million, compared to a systems order backlog of $1.95 million at June 30, 2014. After July and August activity, our order backlog decreased to $2.03 million. The current backlog is lower than these periods in the prior year; however, the Company has ongoing negotiations that should result in additional orders.
