Act4me Receives Grant From Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation For $20,000

Miami, Fla. (July, 16 2015) – Act4Me is pleased to announce it has received a $20,000 grant from the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation. These funds will support the Act4Me program, which helps children with disabilities access therapy.
 
MIAMI - Aug. 12, 2015 - PRLog -- Since 2009, Act4Me has funded therapy for children diagnosed with neurological disorders access physical, speech and occupational therapy when their families are unable to afford these costs themselves and they have insufficient or no medical insurance. Act4Me is the only organization providing this service in Miami-Dade County, without which many of these children would continue to go without therapy. The organization’s goal is to reach a point where every child in Miami-Dade County has access to the therapy that they need.

“Denying children access to the healthcare that they need is a tragedy. This grant from the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation will have a significant impact on moving us closer to resolving this situation.” Maida Berberian-Bignon, Executive Director.
