Follow on Google News | Burda Appointed Vice President at RA-LINRA-LIN, one of Georgia’s largest locally-owned construction management and general contracting firms has promoted a veteran manager to head construction services.

He makes sure that the entire building team performs in the interest of the customer, and when you add that to his attention to detail and communications ability, you have a combination that makes the experience of purchasing a challenging and complex commercial construction project as pleasant as possible for the owner.” Tommy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech and has worked in the construction industry for 31 years, beginning as a part time worker while in school. In the two of the past three years his projects have won first place awards in the Associated General Contractors of Georgia Build Georgia Awards competition. Tommy’s projects won for RA-LIN’s work on the Greenway Health headquarters building in 2013, which is the first LEED Gold certified building in Carroll County, and for the challenging construction of Saddle Creek Logistics Services, Eagle IV facility in Atlanta, Georgia in 2015. Other outstanding projects managed by Burda include: multiple projects for the City Schools of Decatur, Georgia; construction of the Cherian’s Building in Decatur, Georgia; the Tanner Behavioral Health Hospital in Villa Rica, Georgia; and the construction of North Murray High School in Chatsworth Georgia, and the Calhoun Middle/High School in Calhoun, Georgia. As a new vice president, Tommy will concentrate on supporting RA-LIN’s growing business in the industrial and large manufacturing, healthcare and hospitality market segments within the construction marketplace. The company has been very successfully expanding this segment and is well positioned to capitalize on the improving economy in the southeastern United States. End
