What is Feijoada (pronounced “FAY-JOE-AH-DAH”)?

Feijoada is a slow simmered stew with Portuguese roots. It has become truly and uniquely Brazilian by cooking it with delicious black beans, great cuts of pork and sausage, and by accompanying it with white rice, farofa (FA-ROH-FA, toasted manioc flour with scrambled egg, bacon, olives and parsely- delish!), and a spicy bean vinaigrette with orange wheels… it doesn’t get more Brazilian than this!
