No Illegal Workers at Richmond

Aug. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- WITH the Government promising to crack down on illegal immigration and workers, the Home Office Minister James Brokenshire has told the national press that they will be targeting construction, along with care homes and the cleaning industry.

Mr Tofield said; “Employers face fines of up to £20,000 per illegally ‘employed’ person and if it can be proved an illegal immigrant has been employed ‘knowingly’ the employer can face a two year jail term.

“The perception is that use of illegal labour is likely to be more prevalent on small projects such as home improvement works.

“As the holiday season gets under way, groups of travellers also naturally gravitate to the area.  They drop leaflets and knock doors to drum up business.
