Aug. 11, 2015 - PRLog -- Deekit (http://www.deekit.com), a virtual whiteboard that enables collaboration anywhere and in real time, today announced that the company has launched an iOS App and been accepted into Techstars (http://www.techstars.com/introducing-the-10-companies-for-the-london-fall-2015-class/) for the London Fall 2015 Class. The new app offers remote teams an unlimited canvas to create content on any device and works as a natural extension to traditional audio and video calls. The company’s CEO and founder is a former Skype engineer and a graduate of Draper University. You can read more about Deekit and the company’s CEO and founder Kaili Kleemeier at http://www.draperuniversity.com/kaili.

“Designers, developers, entrepreneurs, freelancers, teachers and students—any creative person for that matter—are using whiteboards daily to brainstorm, share knowledge and solve complex problems,” said Kaili Kleemeier, founder of Deekit. This unique tool makes whiteboarding simple and fast, especially for those working remotely.”

“Kaili is a stellar engineer and was an amazing student during her time at Draper University; I am sure she and her team will excel at Techstars in London,” said Tim Draper, founder of Draper Associates/DFJ/Draper University. “I see many collaboration ideas come and go and oftentimes the software is too feature-heavy, overwhelming to use and void of a simple user interface. The Deekit application was designed to be easy to use, especially for someone like me who is on the road all of the time and constantly ‘dialing in’ to brainstorm new ideas.”

Deekit works with iOS and is accessible via handheld devices and desktop computers. The technology is relevant in a number of environments where collaboration is key. These include:

Business—Users can visually plan product design, the overall roadmap and brainstorm new ideas. In addition, analysis of business challenges and opportunities is possible via templates that include the Business Model Canvas, Lean Canvas, Business Plan, SWOT Analysis and many more.

Software engineering—Engineers can visually explain architecture, highlight bugs, discuss workflows and and more.

Design—Deekit is great for concept drawings, design layouts, discussions of the user experience and getting feedback on designs from both team members and customers.

Public speaking and sketchnoting—Deekit can be used to prepare lectures and visual sketchnotes, which then can be shared with anyone. Shared sketchnoting can also be done with groups of people.

Education—Students anywhere can participate in discussions and teachers can unify the classroom by having all materials and notes instantly shared with everyone.

The Techstars Fall 2015 Class is a diverse group of entrepreneurs from five countries, including Estonia, the Czech Republic, the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. Companies range from collaboration, music and hiring, to personal security and 3D printing.  The program provides teams with seed funding, intensive mentorship and networking opportunities with VCs, technology luminaries and alumni.
