By: Culpeper Air Fest Don't miss the rare chance to see the world’s ONLY civilian-owned Harrier Jump Jet, otherwise known as an F/A 2 Sea Harrier. This amazing aircraft will keep fans on the edge of their seats as it returns to the skies of Culpeper County. This unique aircraft is capable of vertical takeoffs and landings, providing the U.S. Marine Corps with mobility, flexibility and firepower. The Harrier will be flown by former Marine Corps aviator and graduate of the USAF Test Pilot School, Lt. Col Art Nalls USMC (retired). Adding to the Harrier’s thrills you can expect to see historic warbirds, vintage aircraft, aerobatic performances. The Bealeton Flying Circus along with their spectacular wing-walking event will leave you breathless. See the FARM Club and their unique radio-controlled model airplanes. The B-25 Mitchell Bomber “Panchito” Food & drinks will be available from various vendors, including hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecue, pizza and more. In addition to Saturday’s activities, the Air Fest will serve as a home base on Friday- October 9th for the 2nd annual Potomac Flight, a unique flyover of Washington D.C.’s greatest landmarks honoring DAV (Disabled American Veterans) and all the men and women who have bravely served our country.
