The Junior League of Orange County Presents The Christmas Company’s “40 Years Bright”

 
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- The Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc. (JLOCC) is pleased to announce its 40th Annual The Christmas Company (TCC), which will return to the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, November 6-8, 2015. This year’s theme, “40 Years Bright” features a number of new special events and surprises for attendees, while offering an incredible boutique shopping experience, which TCC has become known for year after year.


“The Christmas Company, now in its 40th year, is a vibrant Holiday event for both adults and children to enjoy. It not only raises funds to benefit our local community, but it is a cherished tradition in Orange County. With over six hundred volunteer members in the Junior League, we all come together to bring the show to life." said Carla Dillon, President, Junior League of Orange County. "Since its inception in 1956, the Junior League has been a tremendous force in the philanthropic community by contributing back over $7 million dollars through programs, scholarships, and grants. This year, we are excited to return to the Orange County Fair & Event Center to host three days of festive events."
Key Highlights on JLOCC:
• Contributed over $7 million to the OC community.
• Each year, our more than 650 women of the JLOCC contribute over 12,000 hours of volunteer service to Orange County.
• 2009: The Junior League donates $200,000, a matched donation by the Stars and Stripes to the development of the Academy Charter High School for Foster Youth.
• 2012: The Junior League donates an additional $300,000, another matched donation, to the opening of the Academy Charter High School.
As the primary fundraiser for the Junior League of Orange County, California, Inc. funds raised will benefit those most in need in Orange County. It is through the participation of the community and partnership of sponsors and contributors that we are able to develop and support programs that have a lasting impact in Orange County.
