PHOENIX - Aug. 10, 2015 - PRLog -- Snell & Wilmer is pleased to announce that Phoenix partner Adam E. Lang (http://www.swlaw.com/attorneys/adam_lang) has been named to the 2015 class of 40 Under 40, recognizing 40 of the Valley’s up-and-coming business leaders. This is the 15th year that the Business Journal has honored young business leaders through the 40 Under 40 program.

According to the Phoenix Business Journal, “the honorees are dynamic leaders in their businesses and industries. They strive to inspire, innovate and instigate change. They have an entrepreneurial spirit — whether they are running their own companies or leading change and growth from within organizations. These men and women already are champions in the for-profit and nonprofit world, and will help lead this community for years to come.”

At Snell & Wilmer, Lang has a varied general and complex commercial litigation practice. As a litigator, he has experience in many types of business disputes including real estate, employment and construction litigation, banking and securities litigation, governmental investigations, white-collar and common criminal defense, accounting, actuarial and malpractice disputes, and class action, partnership and shareholder disputes. In addition, Lang is the co-chair of the Legislative and Governmental Affairs practice group where he handles election, political and administrative matters. He is also co-chair of the firm’s Hiring Committee and devotes his time to improving the legal profession, as a board member of the Arizona Association of Defense Counsel, where he was recently appointed to the executive committee and co-chairs the legislative committee, tasked with reviewing and informing attorneys about legislation. Lang was recognized in the Southwest Super Lawyers® Rising Stars Edition, Business Litigation from 2012 - 2015.

Lang is deeply involved in the community. For example, in 2009, he and his wife were recognized as one of Arizona’s Finest Couples by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as they raised more than $10,000 for research of this genetic disorder. After the diagnosis and then death of his dear friend from a brain tumor, Lang has been actively involved with the National Brain Tumor Society for ten years, including co-chairing the benefit walk for many of those years. In 2013, he was appointed to ASU West’s New College’s Dean Advisory Board, where he is involved with existing students and raising money for scholarships.

At age 30, Lang became chairman of the New Pathways for Youth Board of Directors. This organization, which helps at-risk and homeless children, valued his leadership as he inspired the Board to exceed fund raising goals through his own passion to help kids. As a result, New Pathways exceeded revenue projections, and successfully executed its strategic plan for organizational improvement and growth. His 11-year tenure continues on the New Pathways Board, where he takes a leading role in improving the lives of at-risk kids in our community.

On top of his busy career and commitment to the community, he finds time to coach his children’s basketball teams and assist with events benefitting their school.
