Schropp and Sims Honored by Florida Trend Magazine's 2015 Legal Elite

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Aug. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Henderson, Franklin, Starnes & Holt, P.A. is pleased to announce that Attorneys Russell Schropp and L. David Sims were named to Florida Trend Magazine's Twelfth Annual Legal Elite.® The list represents fewer than 2% of all active Florida lawyers. Schropp serves as the firm’s Managing Stockholder. He focuses his practice in land use and zoning and represents property owners and others before local, regional, state and federal agencies. In the community, Schropp serves as Chair of the City of Fort Myers Nuisance Abatement Board and is Chair of the Business Issues Task Force of the Horizon Council (the business advisory council to the Lee County Commission).

Schropp has received much recognition throughout his legal career, including being honored by Florida Super Lawyers (2007-2015), Best Lawyers in America (2011-2015) and achieving the highest AV rating by Martindale Hubbell. He also was the recipient of the 2013 Volunteer of the Year Award for Southwest Florida by the Florida Economic Development Council. Sims is a Florida Bar Board Certified Marital and Family Lawyer, a Certified Family Mediator and Chair of the firm's Divorce, Marital and Family practice. He concentrates his practice in all areas of divorce, marital and family law, including dissolution of marriage, adoption, paternity, mediation, and prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. Sims is also active in the local community and serves on the National Alliance on Mental Illness Lee County Board of Directors and is a member of the Florida Adoption Council, the Association of Family Law Professionals, and the Florida Chapter of the Association of Family Law and Conciliation Courts.
