Cosmetri is a new web-based software designed to simplify the process of creating formulations

BERLIN - Aug. 7, 2015 - PRLog -- Developed by business and IT consultant Simon Bowen, who has years of experience working with beauty and personal care businesses, Cosmetri enables micro, small and medium-sized manufacturers to create compliant formulations and generate their PI files, including full traceability to ensure that batch changes stay compliant through PIF versioning.

Users can also control their raw materials costs and use Cosmetri to develop their trial formulations, costs for the software range between €14.99 and €79.99 per month, depending on the package. There are no contracts or setup fees, the service requires no installation or updating and is accessible via all major web browsers on desktop computers, laptops and tablet devices.

Bowen began developing Cosmetri after finding existing software solutions over-priced and lacking usability and important features. "The additional administration overload and costs of Cosmetics Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 has proven to be extremely burdensome for many small to medium-sized businesses. I’ve even heard on several occasions of business owners who have thrown in the towel, simply because they cannot stay profitable," explained Bowen. "Since launch we have had a great response with several dozen businesses already subscribed to Cosmetri. They are now using the software on an ongoing basis, to ensure that they stay on the right side of the regulations and to effectively manage their formulations.
