By: Drew Ryniewicz Ryniewicz, 18, will debut the original Ugly single along with other new material off her new EP scheduled to be released later this year. The three-hour concert will not only showcase the new music she has been working on over the last few years, but help to raise money for skip1.org (http://www.skip1.org/) In addition to supporting skip1.org, Ryniewicz is an avid supporter of anti-bullying, she named the new song based on personal experiences. “I named the song Ugly because growing up I dealt with terrible bullying and was called ugly by a lot of people,” recalled Ryniewicz. “I wanted to write a song that changed the definition of ugly to help people realize that ugly is just an impression, and not a truth.” Ugly is the first original single Ryniewicz has written and released in four years since placing Top 6 in X-Factor. Her new, long-awaited EP features six songs and follows the release of a five-track debut “Hello it’s Me” EP in 2011. Her debut EP featured original and cover songs and quickly rose the iTunes charts the day it was released reaching #8 on the Pop Albums chart, without a music label or promotion. Concert tickets are $5.00 donation per person at the door or in advance online at www.drew.ticketleap.com. A private post-concert VIP meet-and-greet event with Ryniewicz is available for $15.00 per person with ages five and under free. All proceeds from door ticket sales and a portion of VIP sales will be donated to skip1.org. Doors open at 7:00 p.m. Concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Space is limited. In 2011, Ryniewicz was a Top 6 Finalist of X Factor and performed with her idol pop star Justin Bieber. She regularly led fan voting and downloads of her performances sold on average three times more than other contestants. Though ultimately placing sixth, millions of fans continue to follow her on social media. Since the show, she has worked to evolve her singing career with Los Angeles-based writers from every genre. She has performed at a variety of events and toured with a national anti-bullying concert tour called the Allstar Nation Tour (https://www.facebook.com/#!/ For more information about Ryniewicz, visit www.officialdrew.com.
