SANTA MONICA, Calif. - Aug. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- Imagine working out a divorce without hiring an attorney or stepping into court disputing the tax assessment on your home completely online.

A Sillicon Valley company is starting to make both possibilities a reality with software that experts say represents the next wave of technology in which the law is turned into a computer code that can solve legal battles without the need for a judge or attorney.

But prominent L.A. attorney and mediator, Mark Baer is opposed stating, "When potential clients believe that family law can be handled through software tries to mimic what would likely occur in a courtroom, they greatly minimize the complexity of the issues involved. There are certainly technical aspects of family law, many of which we should be involving financial and other experts to assist with. However, emotional and family dynamics issues are not technical. Can this software handle that aspect? I know that many of my colleagues believe that they innately have the skills to properly handle these issues, but I believe that they could not be more wrong. In any event, it seems that this arrogance has led many to the conclusion that family law is relatively simple and is merely technical. I should point out that emotional issues are involved in each and every case and family dynamics are involved in all cases in which there are children of the relationship, regardless of age."
