Naples Gulf Shore Sunset Rotary Raises $5,000 for CCCR

By: Collier Child Care Resources

NAPLES, Fla. - Aug. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- The Naples Gulf Shore Sunset Rotary Club donated a total of $5,000 to Collier Child Care Resources (CCCR) from the “Mercato Wine Walk” and the “Naples Sunset Trolley Tour” fundraising events. Also, nearly $500 in additional funds was donated by Pompano Bar & Grill from “Charity Night,” held recently in collaboration with the Naples Gulf Shore Sunset Rotary Club. The proceeds from these events will help the children from lower-income families who cannot afford the cost of child care at the NCEF Early Childhood Development Center operated by CCCR. Over 55 percent of the children who attend CCCR’s early learning program come from families who live at or below poverty level and 75 percent receive tuition assistance.

Bill Towers, past president of the Naples Sunset Rotary Club (which recently merged with another Rotary to form the Naples Gulf Shore Sunset Rotary Club) said, “The cost of child care is high and we want to help ensure these at-risk children receive quality child care.  Our members focus their service efforts on the needs and concerns of our community.  The education of the children who live in Collier County is one area we feel our charitable work truly makes an impact.”
