Bobby + April Host Watermelon Festival Blast!

RICHMOND, Va. - Aug. 5, 2015 - PRLog -- When RVA decides to throw a party, it’s always a good time! This year, Bobby + April is celebrating their first summer in Carytown by sponsoring a fiesta for clients, partners, and guests during the Watermelon Festival – a party that typically draws crowds in the five figures. Featuring Alamo BBQ, local beers, a great band and some frosty Watermelon drinks, Bobby+April will also be collecting donations for their favorite charity, RAL – the Richmond Animal League.

Bobby+April, an agent of Small & Associates, opened their doors in Carytown earlier this year specializing in helping clients buy, sell and renovate historic properties. After three years of working from home, April Straus commented, “The new space has made a huge difference for our clients and our new agents. We now have a place to meet to work as a team. Sometimes it’s productive, sometimes it’s just fun!” Bobby Hicks, the contracting part of the team, admitted, “It’s definitely great to have somewhere to highlight our renovations – all our art is of our projects and our space has been transformed in the same style that we use in our projects. But it’s also great to have other people to have lunch with!”

While their team has expanded to include four new agents and numerous specialty construction contractors, the pair still prefers to work with a few select clients to be able to provide a concierge feel to their service. April joked, “Next year we’d love to have twice the number of clients at the Watermelon Festival party, but we still want know everyone’s story – their pets, children and lifestyle. We want to be providing the small group service that we now offer as we grow and expand. Nothing is more rewarding that helping a client find the perfect house to renovate – to make just perfect for them – except being able to have some BBQ and a beer with them after it’s all done!”
