Popular Hawaiian Restaurant Chain, Zippy’s Goes Heart Safe

NEWTOWN, Pa. - Aug. 6, 2015 - PRLog -- Employees and patrons of several Zippy’s Restaurants are now protected in the event of a Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), after the Hawaiian restaurant chain installed HeartSine Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in many of its locations.

Zippy Restaurant’s has outfitted several of its locations with a HeartSine samaritan® PAD 350P (SAM 350P) AED, a device that analyzes the heart rhythm and delivers an electrical shock to victims of Sudden Cardiac Arrest in order to restore the heart to normal rhythm.

Placement of the HeartSine AEDs coincides with the current wellness program provided to employees by FCH Enterprises, parent company of Zippy’s Restaurants. The program, which supports lifestyle improvements for the more than 2,400 employees, also includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED training, further ensuring the well-being of all employees and restaurant patrons.

The HeartSine samaritan PAD 350P was designed especially for use in public areas by providing a sophisticated defibrillator for adult or pediatric use, inside a lightweight and easy-to-operate system. The user-friendly SAM 350P provides easy to follow visual and audio prompts to guide the rescuer from pad application to shock delivery, if required.

The restaurant chain has installed ten HeartSine AEDs and plans to outfit the remaining locations with AEDs in the near future.
