A Deeper Meaning for NuPath's Employment Services By Daniel Harrison, President and CEO, NuPath, Inc

WOBURN, Mass. - Aug. 4, 2015 - PRLog -- As a leading provider for developmentally disabled adults, NuPath looks to continuously strengthen their mission to provide for people in their program the support needed to live, work, learn, grow and participate to their fullest potential in their communities.  To this end, NuPath's ‘in-house' activation aims to provide community-based employment for the people they support.

Through the guidance of a robust employment initiative, which includes dedicated job coaches, an established job camp and consistent outreach to local business communities, NuPath has set in motion a program for individual and group employment success.  Participants in NuPath's employment training and support program learn critical skills, from resume building to financial management, that enable them to be competitive in today's job seekers market.

"We simply set up the infrastructure and support system as a means of preparation for the people we serve to be competitive and fully engage in a working environment and the people we support respond very naturally," says Dan Harrison, President and CEO at NuPath. "In many cases, the individuals that utilize NuPath's employment services have gone on to secure careers, not just jobs.  The goal is to prepare them within our walls with the intent to help provide opportunity outside our walls," Harrison comments.

NuPath's employment support team spends a significant amount of time in communities, calling on employers and establishing regional relationships that span multiple cities and towns of the people they support.  Job developers work closely with businesses to provide candidates that match job duties, but also work to create opportunity through unique and custom-created positions that address needs on a case by case basis for many companies.  Through state agencies and regional employment collaborative groups, qualified leads are generated, substantiated and ultimately aligned with individual interests and goals for NuPath's participants.  Ongoing support continues once jobs are obtained through consistent (on the job) coaching by the NuPath employment team to ensure collective success.

"One person, one job at a time is our goal.  We continue to refine and tailor our program based on what we learn from our business partners and especially the people we support. We know for a fact that we all have different needs, wants, abilities and goals and in no way should this limit having the same opportunities – the deeper meaning here is ensuring we all have an equal chance to work," proudly claims Harrison.
