Maryland announces a tax amnesty program for 2015

BALTIMORE - Aug. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- Stanley H. Block, a local Baltimore attorney, wants to notify his fellow Maryland residents of the upcoming tax amnesty.

The Comptroller of Maryland has told our office in the past that there is not an advertising fund in their budget. Due to the lack of funding, many Marylanders may never know about this amazing program.

If eligible for the new 2015 Tax Amnesty, taxpayers stand to save a substantial amount of money on penalties and interest related to their past due tax debts.  Maryland recently had a tax amnesty in 2001 and 2009, but is not guaranteed any future amnesty periods after this 2015 program. In attempts to bring non-filers and non-payers current and out of collections, Maryland is holding another amnesty. If you want to be included in this program, do not procrastinate.  Applications start September 1, 2015 and end October 30, 2015. After amnesty is over new technology for Maryland is being implemented to catch taxpayers who continue to remain out of compliance.
