BOSTON - Aug. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- WHAT: On September 21st, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM, the Boston Center for Adult Education (BCAE) is calling all food lovers, activists and advocates. Environmental lawyer turned rancher and author of “Defending Beef”, Nicolette Hahn Niman, offers Bostonians an exclusive look at the benefits behind sustainable meat production and sheds light on the truth behind beef’s bad reputation.  Niman uses her own journey from skeptical vegetarian to passionate believer to relate this nationwide issue to everyday life.  She demonstrates the benefits of replacing factory farms with grass-fed, small-scale farms while explaining how this sustainable food system should be a basis for American food production across the country.

Following the discussion, guests can sample locally sourced small bites courtesy of Northeast Family Farms, Dole and Bailey’s Local Farm Gate, companies committed to creating a local supply chain between farmer and chef.  Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more and get involved!  Reserve now; space is limited.  To register, or for more information please visit www.bcae.org
