Ms. Lauryn Hill Performing Nina Simone And Her Own Hits At Pier Six Concert Pavilion

Ms. Lauryn Hill contributes six songs to the new album, which serves as the soundtrack for the critically acclaimed Netflix documentary What Happened, Miss Simone? Ms. Hill brings new life to some of Nina Simone’s classic songs. Her soul stirring covers of Feeling Good and Black is the Color of My True Lover’s Hair captures the true essence of these timeless tunes. She also puts her own contemporary spin on Simone’s music by rapping over the original track as she does on “I’ve Got Life.” With her powerful renditions of Nina Simone’s music and her own classic hits, Lauryn Hill is sure to present a show that fans will enjoy.  Rap newcomer Raury is opening the show.
