AHMEDABAD, India - Aug. 3, 2015 - PRLog -- VISIT TO ETV

Students of Class XI of Commerce Stream went for a visit to ETV office recently. There they saw the Production Control Room where the news is processed before it is aired. The students even had the opportunity to view the live telecast of the news which was a rare experience. They even saw the workplace of the reporters, analysts, and others and were explained how news is collected through leads and is then filtered at different stages before it is aired. It was a good learning experience for the students.

PASSPORT TO EXCELLENCE

Our school has implemented a recognition and motivation program named 'Passport to Excellence' for classes 1 to 5 after the huge success of the pilot project which was conducted last year. It is a specially designed booklet that will be used for displaying teacher reward stickers or 'Visa of Performance' as well as reward stickers from parents. The program is quite similar to the actual concept of owning a real Passport and getting a Visa. The passport will act as motivation for students and inspire them to be even better. However, the purpose is not to create unhealthy competition and each Visa needs to be earned. Here you see the students proudly holding up their 'passports' and we hope soon they will be proudly displaying their earned 'Visas'.

VISIT TO SUNDERVAN

It was a day out for the little ones of Udgam Nursery. Their visit to Sundervan was a fun-filled one. They saw a variety of animals and birds. Their thrill was multiplied when they could name quite a few of the little creatures there. They ran after the black and white ducklings. They were happy to see many turtles and tortoises in the water. They shushed and spoke in hushed tones near the cage of the sleeping serpents. They laughed and played and made merry all morning. They came back tired but very happy all eager to share incidents of their day out with their parents and grandparents

SENSITIZATION WORKSHOP

Today the students of Std. VII had a different kind of assembly programme. Sense International India, working with deaf-blind people, planned a special programme for the students. Ms. Sheryl Shiju Sam, Officer, Communications and Mr. Sachin, India’s first deaf-blind interpreter came to sensitize the children about physical disability. The children from the organization performed a skit with the help of sign language and entertained our students. Mr. Sachin then taught our students the signs for the English alphabets. He then called two of our students to communicate words through sign language and gave them prizes. It was a good learning experience for our students.
