My name is Joe Rudozki and I am from Landing NJ. I always wanted to be part of something greater than myself. I knew that joining the State Police was a challenge that I was willing to go through and pay the prize for.

I knew there was a lot of physical requirements. Therefore, in order to bridge the gap I needed someone to help me out.

I decided to hire a trainer and nutritionist. As a result, I  went through many websites but finally found the best for my physical goals. I was committed to do whatever I had to do.I work at a labor job, and don't get paid a lot. But I was willing to make an investment that eventually paid high dividends. For that reason, I decided to hire the best in the business. I put my trust on Jose Fuentes of Shapes R In. I made him my new partner at fitness.Therefore, we started my Physical journey together. At first was very hard but I stay commited.. I was 30 lbs overweight and I needed nutritional direction. My trainer guided me and wrote diet plans. I went on a low glycimic, high enzyme and  non animal protein diet. I felt reinvigorated, cleaned and lighter on my first few days on the diet. Therefore, I gradually started to lose weight.

He introduced me to foods I never thought existed. For example: chayotes, jicamas, quinoa, tumeric, oils, plants. It was amazing!

The second part was totally physical. We started slow but set physical benchmarks and goals. We went light on the weight but high on the reps and did lots of endurance drills. He corrected my posture while running, as well as my knee, foot and hip  placement. Explained oxygen consumption rules while running like no one else could have explained it. He took me to a pool where we went for water work outs. I started to love this guy and the work outs he put me through. Then gradually we intensified things as you could see on the video we made.

The 3rd part was rehabilitating my injured shoulder. My trainer has a background in kinesiology and basically taught me stretches and exercises to override the pain and get more extensibility on my shoulder.

Everything started to make sense. Each link we built was holing and keeping the chain parts together and stronger.

Finally the date came and drove to The Maryland State Police where I appplied for. I was nervous but I knew I was equipped with the best training system anyone can possible have.

I am proud to say. I was at the top of my class. I made great  times on each physical part of my test. And walk out of there with my confidence going off the roof!

When you set goals, you must go the extra mile and be smart enough to recognize that. My weakness was lack of knnowledge in the areas of physical training and endurance.

Sometimes you can’t do it by yourself. I even felt after passing the test that I needed to continue with my trainer.  Therefore, I came back to Jose Fuentes for more intense work outs before my January 2016 kick off date at the State Police training academy.

The end result was: 30 lbs weight loss.  6” lost off my waist, and achieving my dream of getting into the prestigious StatePoliceAcademy!
