The organizations chosen by Sisterhood For Good to receive grants at this year’s reception are: BioScent K9 BioScent K9 was awarded $500 by the Sisterhood For Good and will use this grant to purchase a beagle puppy that will be trained to detect cancer. Sisterhood For Good awarded Child Protection Center Inc. with a $500 grant, which will be used to expand their Personal Safety and Community Awareness Program (PSCA). They were awarded $500 and plan to use these funds to offer a free Comfort Zone Bereavement Camp in October 2015 for children aged 5 to 17. This year they were awarded $1,000, which they plan to use to provide free screening mammograms for uninsured women in Manatee county.
