PORT PERRY, Ontario - July 31, 2015 - PRLog -- Durham Sustain Ability, an environmental not-for-profit that supports individuals, organizations and communities on the path to sustainability, is expanding its volunteer positions for the second half of 2015 in response to growing demand in the community.

“After the re-launch of the Durham Partners in Project Green (DPPG) (http://sustain-ability.ca/programs/business/durham-ppg/) program in January 2015, we have seen our membership increase significantly as companies become more familiar with Durham Sustain Ability (DSA) and the DPPG program.” Commented Shawna Mutton, Executive Director of DSA. “We are excited to offer our business community a packed calendar of educational events and resources going into the last half of the year and into 2016 but we need help.”

The DPPG program supports business across Durham Region with sustainability initiatives in an effort to reduce the carbon footprint of business in the region. In addition, these efforts also help companies reduce their overall operational costs and gives them a competitive advantage.

There are currently several volunteer positions available with DSA, more information please link through to the DSA website (http://sustain-ability.ca/volunteer-positions-event-coord...) or call us directly @ 905.985.3279.
