2015 Illinois State Convention

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. - July 31, 2015 - PRLog -- The Libertarian Party of Illinois will hold its Yearly Convention (http://www.lpillinois.org/convention) on Friday, July 31 & Saturday, August 1 at the Hilton Garden Inn, 3100 S. Dirksen Parkway, in Springfield, IL.

Libertarian National Committee Chair, Nicholas Sarwark, will give the keynote address, and a number of prospective 2016 candidates will be in attendance. Among these are Chris Michel for US Senate (http://www.facebook.com/ChrisMichelforIllinois) who was our candidate for Illinois Secretary of State in 2014, and Scott Schluter for Illinois’ General Assembly (http://www.scottschluterforliberty.com) who is currently chairman of a Southern Illinoisan Libertarian Party.

The two-day event will also host a number of workshops, the ever-popular Libertarian Jeopardy, and our Annual Auction which is the year’s largest fundraiser.

Registration is still open, and will remain so all the way up to the day of at the door. Friday evening, however, is free, open to the public, and will involve a Q&A session between Illinois' State Chairman, Lex Green and guest LNC Chairman Nicholas Sarwark.
