Total Access Urgent Care & Greater St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce Hosting Blood Drive on Au

ST. CHARLES, Mo. - July 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Total Access Urgent Care is teaming up with the St. Charles County Chamber of Commerce to host a Blood Drive and Networking Coffee for the St. Charles community on August 12^th.  The Networking Coffee will last from 7:30am to 9am. The American Red Cross will facilitate a blood drive from 8:00am to 1:00pm. Food and refreshments will be provided.

The entire process of giving blood can be completed in about an hour and is quick and easy. A single donation, which is equivalent to a pint of blood, can save up to three lives. The need for blood donations remains high.

Take the proper steps before donating by:

·         Drinking plenty of fluids on the day of your donation

·         Eating a light meal just before donating

·         Bringing a list of medication allergies

·         Enjoying complimentary snacks and refreshments after you have given blood

·         Avoiding strenuous exercise for 5 hours following blood donation
