Denver Chiropractor Dr. Omid Ferdowsian Completes DACBSP Certification

DENVER - July 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Denver chiropractor, Dr. Omid Ferdowsian, of Governor’s Park Chiropractic, has successfully completed the requirements to be certified as a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP). Dr. Ferdowsian met the requirements of DACBSP certification by attending a minimum of 300 hours of postgraduate education.

This instruction is specific to evaluating physical fitness and the assessment and treatment of injuries encountered in sports. Following the completion of postgraduate education hours, Dr. Ferdowsian then took and successfully passed a comprehensive written examination. The doctor also successfully completed a practical (hands-on) examination. In addition, the doctor met the further requirements of publishing a sports-related paper in a peer-reviewed journal and providing a minimum of 100 hours of hands-on treatment to athletes outside of the clinical setting.

This training will aid Dr. Omid Ferdowsian in the prevention and treatment of athletic injuries by enhancing his diagnostic skills and patient care. The DACBSP accreditation exists to provide a uniform standard of education that assures teams and athletes that the doctor has met a high level of competency in chiropractic sports medicine.

Dr. Ferdowsian joins 300 others nationally who hold this designation.
