Ceramic Polymer: Coating product was certified by DNV GL for structural components of offshore w

Ceramic Polymer GmbH produces high-quality coatings for different industries. One major field of application is the offshore sector.

BIELEFELD, Germany - July 30, 2015 - PRLog -- Within this field the references ranges from platform bases to harbor facilities, the coating of buoys and tanks on ships as well as wind energy components.

DNV GL is the globally leading classification and consultation society for the maritime industry. The coating product PROGUARD M was again certified by DNV GL for the application of „Structural components of offshore windmills exposed to sea atmosphere“.

This coating system is mainly used for brakes, gearing mechanisms and generators of wind energy plants. It provides stability against sea water, high temperatures and chemicals. Furthermore, the coating shows extreme resistances to abrasion, impact and wear.

Towers and fundaments of offshore constructions for wind energy or oil extraction are also durably protected by other solvent-free spray coatings of Ceramic Polymer GmbH. The products fulfill the relevant corrosivity categories for offshore industry according to DIN EN ISO 12944-2 (classes C5-M and IM1-3) as well as the high requirements of ISO 20340.

A further specialty within the portfolio of Ceramic Polymer GmbH is a specific „under water coating“. This product can be easily applied under water (even flowing water) and facilitates thereby effective renovation of immersed offshore structures.
