BELLINGHAM, Wash. - July 28, 2015 - PRLog -- SLMA Radio, produced by the Sales Lead Management Association (SLMA) on the SLMA Live Channel, reported reaching an audience of 62,252 replays (live listeners, not counted, are additional) since it first started broadcasting five years ago. SLMA Radio producer and founder of the SLMA, Jim Obermayer, said, “Little did we suspect when we started this program that we would reach so far into the marketing world. The executive line-up of interviewees and the range of topics on lead management and lead generation have been remarkable. This week is our 5th anniversary (July 27, 2010) for what we believe is the longest-running internet radio program on sales lead management and sales lead generation.”

Growth of Internet Radio

Internet Radio has grown tremendously over the past five years. In 2014 Edison Research reported that the percentage of radio listeners, by medium, was:

● AM/FM Radio “over the air” 90%

● Internet Radio: 53%

● Personalized On-line 39%

● Streaming Live: 27%

● ON-Demand Music: 18%

The SLMA Radio programs are released as podcasts after the live show and promoted heavily by the channel, SLMA, and the guests. Programs from five years ago are still being accessed and listened to on a regular basis. In the Fall 2014 Share of Ear Study sponsored by Edison Research, they found that of those who listen to audio sources:

● 30% named podcasts

● 23% owned music

● 21% named AM/FM

● 12% used streaming audio (Pandora, Spotify, etc)

● 9% used TV music channel

● 5% used Sirius XM

Podcasts for at-work listeners have grown as a significant medium, and the SLMA Radio program is a serious contributor to this trend.
