By: Pacific Islands Society

HILTON HEAD ISLAND, S.C. - July 28, 2015 - PRLog -- Earlier today, the Pacific Islands Society announced that it has been awarded the prestigious Top-Rated Award by GreatNonprofits, the leading national provider of user reviews about nonprofit organizations.

"We are honored to be named a Top-Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits.org," says Eddie Walsh, Founder and President of Pacific Islands Society. "We are profoundly touched by all of the support that we have received from reviewers around the world. And, we are glad that they believe that we are helping to bridge the geographic boundaries that separate islanders."

GreatNonprofits is the leading platform for community-sourced stories and reviews about nonprofit organizations and its annual Top-Rated awards is like a people's choice award for the nonprofit sector. Users can rate more than 1.2 million nonprofits, representing the largest database of nonprofit organizations with personal stories and experiences of how the impact of the nonprofit organization has affected them.

Pacific Islands Society received this honor through community feedback--from people served, legislators, volunteers, members, and donors and it truly shows the impact the organization has had on educating, celebrating, and sharing the unique cultural heritage of Pacific Islanders.

The Top-Rated list honors highly reviewed nonprofits--think of the review site TripAdvisor--where volunteers, donors and people served by the great work of the organization casts their vote in the form of a review to express their appreciation for the great work it does. Being on the Top-Rated list gives sponsors and members more confidence that this is a credible organization. The reviews it receives from the community it serves shows the on-the-ground results of this non profit.
