New Staff Join Yorkshire Team as Business Prospers

July 27, 2015 - PRLog -- Award winning housebuilder, Miller Homes has made two new appointments to its senior management team as business continues to prosper.

Miller Homes Yorkshire Region based at Calder Park, Wakefield, has appointed Tony Haigh as Area Health and Safety Manager and Adam Simpson as Senior Land Manager as the housebuilder reports unprecedented sales figures for the first half of the year.

“We are over 85% forward sold for the year and demand for our homes is running high,” commented Andrew Davies Operations Director Miller Homes Yorkshire. “With this in mind we felt that now was the right time to continue investing in staff recruitment in Health and Safety, with a designated Regional Advisor and also a Senior Land Manager to press ahead with securing more new development land in Yorkshire.”

Tony, 49, from Darwen Lancashire joins the Miller Homes team from another nationwide housebuilder. Having spent many years in the Army, Tony has a plethora of skills making him ideally suited to this role.

“Miller Homes has a fantastic reputation for its pro-active health and safety strategies and I am very pleased to have become part of such an admired company in our industry,” said Tony.

Meanwhile, Adam, 40, from Harrogate has enjoyed a career that has seen him work in all aspects of land and property acquisition and management, bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience to consolidate Miller Homes’ success in Yorkshire.

Adam concluded, “Acquiring suitable land that complements our Groups’ ambitious expansion plans for the Yorkshire Region is the challenge and I am looking forward to being part of the team that will bring more award winning new homes to the people of Yorkshire.”

Miller Homes currently has nine developments located across the region and are due to launch two more new developments in Wetherby and Killinghall in the near future.
