Follow on Google News | DAV RecruitMilitary Vet Job Fair Coming to Dallas on August 27DAV and the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on Thursday, August 27, 2015.
RecruitMilitary expects 75 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. Those already signed up are DAV; USAA; L-3 Communications; In addition, USAA’s local wealth management team is presenting a seminar prior to the career fair at 10:00 a.m. The seminar is titled "Five Steps to Informed Financial Transition.” At 10:30 a.m., Grand Canyon University is conducting a special informational seminar: "Understanding Education and Your Career Plans." GCU personnel will evaluate prior learning and military experience, as well as provide counseling on GI Bill benefits. DAV personnel will be on hand to answer veterans’ questions about benefits and to provide them with other valuable information. DAV was founded by World War I veterans in Cincinnati in 1920 and chartered by the United States Congress in 1932. The organization empowers veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity. It is dedicated to a single purpose: fulfilling our promises to the men and women who served.
