DAV RecruitMilitary Vet Job Fair Coming to Dallas on August 27

LOVELAND, Ohio - July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- DAV and the military-to-civilian recruitment firm RecruitMilitary will produce an All Veterans Career Fair at Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center on Thursday, August 27, 2015. DAV and RecruitMilitary are inviting veterans who already have civilian work experience, personnel who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves, military spouses, and other military family members. The event will run from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

RecruitMilitary expects 75 employers, franchisors, educational institutions, and government agencies to reserve exhibitor booths at the Expo. In addition, USAA’s local wealth management team is presenting a seminar prior to the career fair at 10:00 a.m. The seminar is titled "Five Steps to Informed Financial Transition.” All veterans are welcome to attend this session intended to provide information for veterans and spouses to use as they consider their future retirement.

At 10:30 a.m., Grand Canyon University is conducting a special informational seminar: "Understanding Education and Your Career Plans." GCU personnel will evaluate prior learning and military experience, as well as provide counseling on GI Bill benefits.

DAV personnel will be on hand to answer veterans’ questions about benefits and to provide them with other valuable information.
