Ascensus College Savings Appoints Vice President of Systems Analysis & User Experience

DRESHER, Pa. - July 24, 2015 - PRLog -- Ascensus, the nation’s largest independent retirement plan and college savings services provider, announces the appointment of George Piquette as vice president of systems analysis and user experience at Ascensus College Savings.

In this role, Mr. Piquette will be responsible for the direction of the overall capabilities of the Unite 529 platform as well as the development and implementation of product enhancements for both direct-sold and advisor-sold 529 college savings plans. He will also oversee Ascensus College Savings’ user experience team, ensuring that the company’s sites deliver a superior, intuitive customer experience.

Mr. Piquette brings 18 years of financial services experience to his role at Ascensus, having previously served as director of product and program management for Fidelity’s 529 product. He earned a B.A. in Mathematics from Rhode Island College and an M.B.A. in Computer Information Systems from Bryant University. He also holds his FINRA Series 99, 7, and 63 licenses.

The Unite platform was developed with 529 plan administration in mind to deliver a highly automated and efficient recordkeeping solution. Unite is an easy-to-use web-based interface consisting of modules that facilitate customer relationship management, phone and email technology, mail imaging, workflow, transaction processing, compliance, automated backup, and more. Mr. Piquette’s appointment is indicative of Ascensus College Savings’ continued commitment to technological innovation within the 529 college savings industry.
