By: Peter Clarke "We love making cookies, and anything that brings families together," says Heather Pratt, editor for Our Family Fun Night. "Cooking events have always shown to bring the magic out of people, it's different than any other sort of craft. Creating together is one of the best ways to grow social and intellectual skills." Attendee's will be provided drinks by the community center at no extra cost, families with small children are encouraged to bring any extra snacks they might need. The event is expected to last six hours including a one hour break for cookie baking time. "Baking is so much fun, the science and the simple parts, everything comes together," says Tucker. "There is room for all types of personalities and ages when you're crafting a cookie, it's perfect for everyone. We cater to as many preferences and diet restrictions as possible so I hope to see a lot of people turn out for this event." The craft day event details will be posted on Our Family Fun Night this August. Tucker's personal favorite cookie recipes from the event will be featured afterward in a separate spotlight. Extra cookies from the event will be donated to a local homeless shelter. About Scott Tucker Scott Tucker has been baking in the Ohio area for five years with his wife Sarah. He runs a small bakery out of his home and sells his cookies and other baked goods at local farmers markets and fairs during the summer and fall. About Our Family Fun Night Our Family Fun Night is designed with one aim in mind: to help families spend as much quality time together as possible. With today's online culture, it's becoming ever more difficult to sit down and spend time with family members without watching a movie, or getting interrupted by a text. The site gives families more options for non-digital entertaining activities. The website also hosts a forum, with active users compiling and sharing ideas. With OFFN's new map database, users will be able to post family oriented events as they are scheduled, and will be able to sort through these events by area.
