PayAsia announces appointment of Chairman Mr. Mark Samlal as Group Managing Director

SINGAPORE - July 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The current Chairman Singapore based Mr. Mark Samlal has been appointed Group Managing Director of the PayAsia Group with effect from 15th July 2015. “In consultation with the Shareholders and Board I am delighted to take on the roles of both Chairman and Managing Director for the PayAsia Group. I looking forward to leading the most talented team in Payroll and HR BPO thanks to the foundations established by outgoing Managing Director Mr. Sunil Girdhar,” said Mr. Samlal.

Mr. Sunil Girdhar has guided the company for four years, and has overseen substantial growth in India, along with expansion in Australia and The Philippines. “The Board appreciates and acknowledges Mr. Girdhar’s contribution, in particular his focus Talent along with the establishment of ISO 9001 and 27001 and significant development of our Group in India. We wish him the very best in his future business pursuits ” said Mr. Samlal.

Mr. Samlal, along with Senior Director of Business Development Mr. Lawrence Pushpam, founded PayAsia in 2006 based on extensive industry experience and knowledge gained in previous positions held with Automatic Data Processing (ADP) and Convergys in the Asia Pacific.  Mr. Samlal recently completed a successful six years as Group Chief Executive of the Singapore Stock Exchange listed company VicPlas International Ltd and prior as an Executive Director of Omni Industries Ltd.
