The playfulness of this shoe is reflected in the name of the product – Dooq comes from the Lithuanian word, which means “to frolic about”. Also, opportunity to change every detail of this shoe prolongs its life and they don’t become a bore. “The thought to create fully transformable shoes was born three years ago. I was wearing colorful summer clothes that went well with all my accessories except the shoes. I’ve tried to change some details of my current sandals and this was a great success. After that I decided to start making fully transformable sandals to help other women with their boring shoes problem”, – says Rasa. After the idea was born she started looking for partners who could help her with implementation. That’s how Vismantas, who has a master degree in production management, and Sergi, expert of industrial design, joined the team. Today Rasa’s experience of making jewelry and her partners’ knowledge in advertising and design fields let them bring the fresh air into the shoemaking and find out-of-the-box solutions when creating transformable ladies’ sandals. She and her team come a long road of the experimental models, trials and lengthy searches of reliable partners to a result they are fully satisfied with. That’s why now you can entirely trust your Dooqs. When making them, heavy-duty YKK snaps and super strong neodymium magnets are used, so nothing will come undone or fall out of place when wearing these sandals. All Dooqs’ elements are hand made by local manufacturers. Their sole is made in the Mediterranean region, which is the birthplace of the sandal, using regenerated leather. Team says that in the future Dooqs’ sole will be made from recycled upper parts of old sandals – and those people who will send them old details of the sandal will get a discount for a new purchase. “We believe that shoes should match your wardrobe and your mood no matter where you are – at home or on summer vacation at exotic island.
