Crain’s Honors Kent State College of Business Administration Instructor as Woman of Note

July 22, 2015 - PRLog -- Rosanne S. Potter, Executive MBA instructor at Kent State’s College of Business Administration, will be honored among the “Women of Note” by Crain’s Cleveland Business on July 23^rd.

Rosanne Potter is a senior finance professional specializing in capital markets and pension management. Potter has held the position of treasurer in five major manufacturing including Lubrizol Corporation, RTI International Metals, Inc. and Dexter Corporation.   In her current role at Eaton Corporation headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, Potter manages $10 billion in retirement assets. Eaton is a $23 billion power management firm with offices in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

Potter began her career in Chicago, Illinois working in the treasury department of a Fortune 100 conglomerate. She received her MBA in Finance from Loyola University and holds a BA in Economics and French from Boston College, cum laude. During her undergraduate studies, Potter attended the London School of Economics where she studied International Business and Economics.

Potter is currently an instructor for the Executive MBA program at Kent State University teaching courses in Financial Planning and Money and Capital Markets. Executive MBA Program Director Laurie Walker says "Rosanne successfully blends academic rigor with real life applications. She provides an         in-depth practical learning experience for our Executive MBA students."

Potter was nominated by Veronica Cook-Euell, a recent Kent State Executive MBA graduate. “Rosanne was absolutely electrifying and motivating. She thoroughly displayed her financial expertise throughout the planning and purposing process of our IPO case project.  She made the experience very real,” Cook-Euell said. “Her impact has empowered me with the utmost confidence in my financial knowledge both personally and professionally.”  Cook-Euell was a student in Potter’s Money and Capital Markets course where students presented a business case for an Initial Public Offering (IPO).
