Alistair Bromhead Ltd Announces Refreshed Manual Handling Certification Programme

Alistair Bromhead Ltd’s manual handling certification scheme has been enhanced, allowing trainers to take their courses to an even higher level.

ASHTEAD, U.K. - July 20, 2015 - PRLog -- For those who have successfully completed the City & Guilds Manual Handling Train the Trainer course, being able to issue certificates to trainees can make a great deal of difference in terms of providing an incentive for those considering participating, and will also bolster motivation amongst trainees. An official certificate of training can go a long way to making training feel even more worthwhile.

National manual handling training experts Alistair Bromhead Ltd launched a scheme back in 2013 in conjunction with Proskills and the National Skills Academy for Materials, Production and Supply in order to provide such a certificate.

Scheme Benefits

Any trainers that have achieved the City & Guilds Manual Handling Train the Trainer Certificate within the past three years are eligible for the scheme, which offers numerous benefits. These include a more recognisable demonstration of handler competence, which is something insurers, regulators and customers will see as advantageous. And for consultants and trainers, a certificated course always proves to be a more saleable product.

The beauty of the programme is that it offers flexibility to manual handling trainers in that they are able to format their courses as they deem appropriate, depending on particular needs and trainees.

A Higher Level for Trainees, and Trainers

The original programme provided successful trainees with a certificate of training, proving completion of the course. The refreshed scheme takes things a step further by offering a second certificate, this time a certificate of competence. This allows trainers to take their trainees to the next level with an additional practical demonstration of their skills.

By proving trainees’ manual handling capability, either on completion of the course or actually in the workplace, trainers will be provided with a matrix allowing their course to be used as a Recognised Prior Learning or Recognised Prior Certification for vocational qualifications in the workplace.
