Blue Heron Successfully Completes CC&B Upgrade for Natural Gas Utility, SaskEnergy

 
ROCHESTER, N.Y. - July 21, 2015 - PRLog -- Blue Heron Consulting (BHC),working alongside system integration partner CGI, went live with another successful on-time, on-budget implementation of Oracle Customer Care and Billing (CC&B) on May 25 at SaskEnergy, located in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada.

BHC/CGI upgraded SaskEnergy from version 2.3 of CC&B to version 2.4. BHC’s assignment was to provide both technical and functional architects, solution center designers/developers/testers, and a solution center architect to participate in all phases of a standard upgrade project, with a heavy emphasis on testing.

BHC has been engaged at SaskEnergy working alongside CGI for more than six years providing CC&B system integration/managed services. The two partnering companies were selected via an RFP process to implement Oracle’s CC&B in 2009.

SaskEnergy delivers the benefits of safe, convenient and environmentally friendly natural gas to the province. Upgrading the utility’s CC&B application and the underlying supporting software allows the company to better meet the needs of its customer base of more than 380,000 residential, farm, commercial and industrial consumers.
