Breaking News! New Photography Artist Debuts in New York

“Delightful, interesting, thought provoking, moving” are what Art Publications are saying about M Creative Photography.

LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - July 17, 2015 - PRLog -- The city that breeds cultural art is New York, NY.  We dare to announce a new artiste being born in this cultural icon - M. M. Scott.  If you have not had a chance to work with this natural professional rising star in the city of Corona, NY, you are missing out!  M. M. Scott is being sponsored with her own private gallery showing in Long Island, NY on September 26th.  Her photography captures the intricate beauty of the New York landscapes and streetscapes that appear as paintings on canvas. I was fortunate to get a private interview with this awesomely, humble individual before she makes her debut in September.

Petra: What got you involved with doing such phenomenal photography as an art?  You are crafty with that camera, girl!

MM: I have had a camera since I was 5 or 6 years old and I have always loved taking pictures. It has always been something that I wanted to do. Actually my Dad was the photographer in the family. So I picked up some things from him.  I just continued to do it as a hobby. Roughly 2010 it started becoming more than that.  I continued to pursue it. Because I do love it … I do enjoy it. I started learning more about it because I was not formally trained and I have been loving the journey ever since.

Petra: That’s an awesome journey because I tell you that your landscapes and your pictures of New York and the eye that you have especially with black and whites are just beautiful. What’s your Dad’s name?

MM: His name is Charles.

Petra: Charles Scott?

MM: Yes

Petra: So basically he is the person that started out as a photographer and you just picked it up as a gift because it was natural?

MM: He was just a hobbyist … he wasn’t a professional photographer. He always had a camera at family functions and graduations. When I got my first little camera at 5 or 6 years old I just started (taking pictures) and enjoyed it; I just loved capturing memories to look back on and remember that point and time in my life.

Petra: How did you get to taking pictures of landscapes and the New York streetscapes as a part of your photography artistry? It’s almost like you are painting.

MM: I love nature. When I am outside I am relaxed and I enjoy being in the park. I enjoy being able to capture that peace and tranquility. I wanted people to love it as if they were there. I want people to feel the peace as if they were there at that same time and place.

Petra: I can visualize your photo art in corporate buildings and offices and lobbies I thought Oh my God your photography would be perfect for that.  Have you ever thought about that before?

MM: I have thought about it. I actually thought about it for retail locations.

Petra: Are you excited about this? Is this your first art gallery showing that you are doing on September 26th.

MM: This is the first for everything. It’s very exciting. I am a little nervous about this first showing. I just wanted to tell a story of where everything began; where I am now; and where I would like to go.  So far, you know, as I have been getting the word out people are very supportive …and that is appreciated.  And so it helps me get more excited. I want it to be a great day and for people to have a great time.  I am sharing a huge part of myself. That’s what I am really excited about.

Petra: You are a phenomenal upcoming photography artiste. Your artwork is phenomenal. Your eye on the detail and intricacies of bringing the smallest things of beauty to everyone’s attention is a gift.

Now you went off to college and have a number of degrees. Which schools did you attend?

MM: I started out at Temple University with a Computer Science degree. I also have an interior design degree from the New York School of Interior Design, and did graduate work at Pace University.

Petra: Well Congratulations for such phenomenal work!

We want everybody to look out for M. M. Scott as she continues her journey. Hopefully this is just one of many art shows that will sponsor M. M. Scott’s gallery showings. I know your Mom, Mrs. Josephine Nobel is so proud of you as her daughter and your accomplishments.  I know this a privately sponsored affair. So we will not give out the address of your first gallery showing.

Do you have any last words to share with everyone?

MM: I just want to continue to grow, expand and challenge myself into the field of photography to see where it takes me.
